They indirectly influence the endocannabinoid system, which helps to regulate a number of key physiological processes in the body. Its CB1 receptors are primarily responsible for memory, emotional processing as well as appetite and they can be found in the brain, primarily in the hypothalamus and amygdala, but also in skeletal muscles and the gastrointestinal tract.
