MEMOSTIM™ MAX formula properties

MEMOSTIM™ MAX is a composition of natural ingredients that has been created to regulate dopamine activity in the brain. It contains ingredients that provide precursors necessary to produce this neurotransmitter. Simultaneously, it blocks the enzymes that break down dopamine, bringing beneficial effects, such as higher levels of energy and motivation. By intensifying acetylcholine release, our formula may also improve attention and learning skills. Thanks to the unique recipe of 6 herbal extracts that work in synergy, this composition increases serotonin level but also lowers cortisol activity, bringing an improvement of mood stress resilience. In addition to that, MEMOSTIM™ MAX supports a good condition of the nervous system and its major functions, including processing of the signals between cells and regeneration.

Ingredients of MEMOSTIM™ MAX (proprietary formula):

Ginkgo biloba
Ginkgo biloba is a deciduous tree that comes straight from China. It has been used for roughly 4 000 years in the natural medicine of China. It has been considered as a remedy that provides proper functioning of the brain by facilitating blood flow and stimulating memory. Nowadays, it is grown all over the world. In fact, it belongs to the group of top 10 most popular supplements used in the Western countries. It has strong antioxidant properties and that is why it has a great effect on the overall health condition. Ginkgo can be considered a nootropic because it improves cognitive functions and supports proper functioning of the nervous system. This herb can increase neurogenesis and stimulate long-term potentiation (LTP) - the processes that are key for information acquisition.
Rhodiola rosea
Rhodiola is a plant that can be classified as an adaptogen. It comes from Northern and Central Asia but it also grows in mountain regions of Europe and subarctic areas of North America. In traditional medicine of the Far East rhodiola extract has been used as a substance that helps to adapt to demanding and adverse environmental conditions. R. rosea supports immunity, increases physical endurance and reduces stress. Modern research studies prove that rhodiola indeed supports the immune system but also influences the central nervous system. It stimulates neurogenesis - the process of new nerve cell production - which provides better functioning of the mind and supports cognitive functions, including memory and attention.
NALT | N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine
Tyrosine is an amino acid that belongs to the huge group of nootropics. In the human organism it is significant in terms of protein production and transmission of signals between cells. In the nervous system it takes part in the production of neurotransmitters, such as: dopamine, noradrenaline and adrenaline. The acetyl derivative of tyrosine - NALT - is about 20 times more soluble in water than pure tyrosine so its bioavailability is much better. NALT can raise the energy level in the whole organism while supporting mental comfort and attention.
St. John's wort | Hypericum perforatum
Saint John’s Wort is a popular natural resource that has been used for centuries in order to reduce anxiety. It has strong nootropic and antidepressant properties. The active compounds found in this herb intensify ATP production in mitochondria providing more energy for the cells. What is more, they improve stress resistance and bring better mood by stimulating the activity of neurotransmitters - mainly dopamine and serotonin, which is commonly known as a “happiness hormone”. However, St. John’s Wort does not affect the nervous system exclusively. It has great influence on the whole organism as it supports the activity of enzymes present in the liver and helps to regulate cholesterol level in blood. It also strengthens the immune system by fighting the bacteria and viruses that may be harmful to the body.
Mucuna pruriens
Mucuna pruriens is the name of an herb that has been used for centuries in natural medicine of the Far East. It contains many alkaloids but, more importantly, it is a rich source of L-DOPA - an amino acid that acts as a precursor for dopamine, noradrenaline and adrenaline. Those neurotransmitters are important in terms of motivation and satisfaction and that is why raising their activity brings more energy to act. Mucuna pruriens extract also has a positive effect on one’s mood, primarily by stimulating dopamine activity while lowering cortisol level in blood. Moreover, it improves libido by influencing natural levels of prolactin and testosterone that, in turn, improves male sexual functions.
Cinnamon | Cinnamomum cassia
Cinnamon cassia is a popular spice obtained from a dried bark of Chinese cinnamon trees (Cinnamomum cassia) that belong to the Lauraceae family of plants and occur mostly in the Southeastern region of Asia. Thanks to a unique, strong, yet sweet aroma it is widely used in cuisine all around the world. In the Far and Middle Eastern countries, it has been commonly known as a herbal ingredient that promotes youth and vitality. Cinnamon cassia contains numerous active compounds, with an emphasis on cinnamaldehyde and hydroxychalcone, that are responsible for its health-promoting properties. It has been proven that cassia may lower glucose level in blood by increasing the expression of glucose transporters that are sensitive to insulin. Besides that, cinnamon can be helpful in weight reduction because it contains substances that stimulate thermogenic processes that speed up fat burning. It is worth noting that this popular spice has also been found to provide antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, supporting the immune system in the fight against infections. In addition to that, it can protect the nervous cells from oxidative stress and other harmful factors which is important for the proper functioning of the brain. And by stimulating serotonin activity, cinnamon cassia may help to maintain inner comfort with a healthy and refreshing sleep.

MEMOSTIM™ MAX formula benefits

Supports the nervous system: Fatigue has a negative impact on cognitive functions, whether we are talking about physical or psychological effects. The ingredients of our formula might counteract that which has actually been proven during scientific studies. Ginkgo biloba and cinnamon cassia support the development and regeneration of the brain. They improve the density of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and nerve growth factor (NGF). Those two compounds stimulate neurogenesis (formation of new nerve cells) and neuroplasticity (the ability to create new connections between neurons). Rhodiola also affects neurogenesis within the hippocampus and it’s very likely that this effect is related to the fact that this herb improves serotonin level in this brain structure. Besides that, it has been proven that Rhodiola supports dopamine activity because it stimulates neurons that produce dopamine. St. John’s wort and cinnamon protect the cells from harmful effects of beta-amyloid – a naturally-occurring peptide that might be particularly dangerous for the neurons when it gets accumulated in the nervous tissue. Mucuna also has some potential in neuroprotection because it neutralizes free oxygen radicals that, in excessive amounts, may damage delicate cellular structures, including DNA. On the other hand, N-acetyl-L-tyrosine mitigates symptoms of stress and fatigue on cognitive performance. In combination, all those ingredients provide an effective support for the condition of the brain and its functions.

Supports a good mood: Dopamine is a compound that has an important role in the reward system. The release of this neurotransmitter induces feelings of pleasure and joy. That is why balanced dopamine activity is crucial for well-being and a high level of motivation. N-acetyl-L-tyrosine and L-DOPA contained in Mucuna pruriens are precursors of dopamine. Cinnamon stimulates the receptors of this neurotransmitter while St. John’s wort reduces dopamine reuptake. Moreover, Ginkgo, St. John’s wort and Rhodiola prevent molecules of this compound from deactivating too quickly. Yet, the ingredients of our formula also affect other mechanisms that may bring an improvement of mood. Serotonin, commonly known as a “happiness hormone”, is another key neurotransmitter that regulates one’s mood. Ginkgo biloba sensitizes serotonin receptors, so when this compound gets attached to neurons, it can bring stronger effects. St. John’s wort and Rhodiola are inhibitors of MAO – they reduce serotonin breakdown, allowing the molecules of this neurotransmitter to remain active for a longer time. What is more, St. John’s wort inhibits the activity of the HPA axis. This axis is a functional system that consists of three main parts: the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and adrenal glands. When we’re experiencing a stressful situation, those structures get activated and produce significant amounts of cortisol. While cortisol is a necessary hormone that regulates metabolism and immune responses, it is also related to negative consequences of prolonged stress exposure. High levels of cortisol over a longer period of time might have a bad influence on the general condition of the body. When it comes to reducing the activity of the HPA axis, GABA is probably the most effective neurotransmitter. St. John’s wort improves the activity of its receptors, thus blocking cortisol release. This way, thanks to a multidirectional influence of our ingredients, it is easier to maintain a positive attitude and a stronger stress resilience.

Improves memory and attention: Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter that affects efficiency of intellectual performance. When its activity is balanced, it has a positive effect on major cognitive functions, including attention, working memory or logical reasoning. In the central nervous system, dopamine is produced from an amino acid tyrosine. One of the enzymes called tyrosine hydroxylase acts as a catalyst in the transformation of tyrosine into L-DOPA. Then, L-DOPA reacts with an enzyme aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase (AAAD) and ultimately becomes dopamine. Because this process is complex and involves different compounds, it is important to supply a decent amount of precursors and other compounds necessary to produce this neurotransmitter. Two ingredients of our formula can be quite helpful in that regard. N-acetyl-L-tyrosine is one of them. This acetylated derivative of tyrosine is absorbed more efficiently than the “original”, so it reaches the brain in greater amounts and can be used to produce dopamine. L-DOPA, the direct precursor of dopamine, is actually a main active compound of Mucuna pruriens. Besides that, cinnamon can affect dopamine receptors, improving their activity. Rhodiola and St. John’s wort – as inhibitors of MAO and COMT – reduce the breakdown of this neurotransmitter so it can affect the nervous system for a longer time. However, an increased activity of dopamine is not the only factor that can influence cognitive performance. St. John’s wort and Ginkgo biloba are able to stimulate the activity of another important compound – glutamate. This neurotransmitter is particularly important for the process of long-term potentiation (LTP) that is fundamental for effective information acquisition. Ginkgo biloba, possibly together with cinnamon, increases the activity of acetylcholine, especially in the prefrontal cortex where most of the advanced mental processes occur. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter necessary for attention skills but it also has an important role in memory, particularly associative memory. In sum, the ingredients of our formula facilitate analysis and processing of information.

Increases energy level: As we established, high activity of dopamine is crucial for cognitive functions but it is not the only feature of this compound. Turns out that dopamine has an important role in regulating levels of energy – in both mental and physical sense. NALT and L-DOPA (obtained from Mucuna) are precursors of dopamine. St. John’s wort and Rhodiola support their activity and help those herbs to stay active for a longer time. It is worth mentioning that dopamine can get transformed into epinephrine and norepinephrine that act as excitatory neurotransmitters. Yet, our formula may help to feel more energetic by activating other mechanisms as well. Rhodiola stimulates bioelectric activity within the hippocampus which is a sign that the neurons of this brain structure work harder and positively affect memory. Ginkgo biloba and cinnamon cassia improve blood flow in the arteries that reach the brain so more oxygen and essential nutrients can be supplied to our “intellectual headquarters”. Moreover, St. John’s wort influences cellular efficiency by improving the functioning of mitochondria that produce energy (in the form of ATP) that is vital for all bodily cells to survive. Rhodiola has another unique feature – it improves tolerance to fatigue. Research indicates that it helps to maintain a high level of focus, short-term memory and quick reactions even if the person is tired. All these effects combined make this synergistic recipe a great support for cognitive endurance.
